ABSTRACT

It is widely known that the participation of stakeholders greatly influences both the construction project process and its outcome (Chinyio and Olomolaiye, 2010; Friedman and Miles, 2006). However, little evidence exists on how the different roles of project participants in developing countries influence low-cost housing projects during the pre-occupancy phase and the post-occupancy phase. This chapter discusses research results that analyse and compare the role of stakeholders during these two phases.
