ABSTRACT
You Tube as a Subject is a tongue-in-cheek series of videos and one sculpture that comment on the temporality of design in everyday life by alluding to the interface used on the online video-sharing platform, https://YouTube.com" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">YouTube.com. Central to the creation and impact of the work was the ability to post a video response at the location of the original videos on YouTube. Therefore, the responses to my initial series made by other artists have become a key part of the project.
