ABSTRACT

The CLEAR (Challenge Leading to Engagement, Achievement, and Results) Curriculum Model1 is a synthesis of key curricular elements from three distinct models in gifted education:

a. the differentiated instruction model (Tomlinson, 1995, 1999); b. the Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) (Renzulli & Reis, 1985, 2000); and c. the depth and complexity model developed by Kaplan (2005).
