ABSTRACT

As supervisors, we are responsible that the case goes well and that the therapist does well, learns, and develops skill and know-how. I believe that clients and/or therapists are best convinced by their own words, so I am willing to go the extra mile for that to happen. Sometimes in group supervision, poignant learning opportunities present themselves, simply because the group is capable. Following is an example of the group becoming stuck like the therapist was stuck like the client was stuck. When mucking about in the mire of isomorphic process, there are some simple steps to free up all involved. Assume the therapist has the resources to succeed, and break the process down to doable steps.
