ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the implementation of a national talent identification and development (TID) system. This approach contrasts the single-sport perspectives elegantly provided in the previous chapters by showcasing Australia’s nationally funded TID system designed to support and enhance the development pathways of multiple sporting organisations. The information contained within this chapter will attempt to relay the evolution, techniques, and experiences through the lens of an author who has been responsible for implementing national TID programs on behalf of the Australian Government throughout the previous decade.
