Reconstruction of Bint Jbeil and Social Representations of the Urban Space

This chapter reviews the process of reconstruction in Bint Jbeil during the two years following the 2006 war. During this time, the Reconstruction Unit at the American University of Beirut (RU-AUB), a team of planners, architects, professors and students willing to assist the local eff orts in rebuilding the war-torn areas in Lebanon, served as actor and witness of this process.
