Knowledge in context Whose knowledge and for what context?

The purpose of this chapter is to contribute to doctoral students’ understandings of the dialectic relationship between knowledge and context. The chapter will discuss, within the contemporary context of globalisation and the internationalisation of higher education, the personal and contextual nature of knowledge and through this, key issues with regard to the ownership of knowledge and its implication for knowledge production, exchange and utilisation.
