ABSTRACT

Mean MAS was 9.9 ± 2.1 km.h-1. For each exercise modality, expiratory flow limitations (expFL) were highlighted, ranging between 8 Ð 91% of Vt. For continuous vs. intermittent exercise comparison, no significant difference was found for ventilatory constraints: mean expFL, Vt/IC and IC/VC (Figure 25.1). For breathing pattern parameters (Table 25.1), only one significant difference was found, with higher V˙E during IE90 than during CE60 (p=0.02). No significant difference was found within the three associations for dyspnea scores (Table 25.2).
