ABSTRACT
SCHOLARLY criticism is essential to the development and enhancement of scientific theories. Cunningham’s essay deserves careful consideration by scholars who are studying intrapersonal processes, as do all thoughtful critical analyses of definitions, models, and theories. However, Cunningham appears to make several assumptions that may be invalid from the perspective of long-term, active researchers who are investigating intrapersonal processes.
