ABSTRACT
FRIGHTENING mass media presentations have become increasingly popular in the last few years. Films such as Halloween and Friday the 13th and their numerous sequels are just a few examples of this type of content. Recent television movies such as The Day After and Adam demonstrate that frightening presentations are not limited to movie theaters.
