ABSTRACT

The dynamics of exchange between the individual and the social has been an inspiring realm of investigation in the preceding four chapters. Using different fields of exploration, all chapters succeeded in shedding light on the permeable boundary between the individual and the social, where mutual movement and transformation takes place. In the present account, we will seek to explore this constructive intersection, where the social world feeds into individual lives and identities (through internalization), and individual lives and identities feed back into the social world (through externalization).
