ABSTRACT
The problem in focus in this article is how to cope with environmental uncertainty in projects. Projects are viewed as partially open and adapting systems, where the external environment becomes a source of both threats and opportunities that affect the project performance. Within this framework projects usually experience a high degree of environmental uncertainty. The article focus especially on coping with time bounded uncertainty, which can only be reduced over time through a learning process where the project enacts the environment.
