ABSTRACT

Because the modern study of religion is multidisciplinary, looking at religion from a variety of academic perspectives and with diverse methods, feminist approaches to religion draw from the insights of feminist scholarship across the academic world. History, philosophy, textual-literary analysis, cultural studies, sociology, psychology, political science, and anthropology include some study of religion as it affects their specific disciplines. Accordingly, feminist analysis within these academic disciplines has included study of the influence of religion on women.
