ABSTRACT
In Chapter 6, we looked primarily at the ‘academic side of student life’, at the student as ‘learner’, at different approaches to study, and at how these related to differences in what was studied and where it was studied. Significant differences were reported but also some commonalities. Overall, we might conclude from the above analyses that students have more in common across different subject fields and institutional types than is currently thought.
