ABSTRACT
I had a fun-packed childhood and I did a lot of after-school activities. I was a Girl Guide, played the piano, tap-danced, was a member of St John’s Ambulance Brigade, belonged to the local drama group and performed in five pantomimes, belonged to two professional theatre groups and performed at the open theatre in Covent Garden. My family gave me confidence to believe in myself and I had positive role models to follow. I had five older brothers and two older sisters who were all working and professionals, including my mother.
