ABSTRACT
The seven case studies that follow are illustrations of a variety of approaches and practices ‘captured’ by our contributors to this edited volume. We are aware that there are limitations inherent in any series of case studies. We do not want to over-claim their importance, but as Alan Southern discusses in Part III, they do provide a series of insights and refl ections that we want to value.
