ABSTRACT

The most compelling definition of God, scilicet, the power to exist, is immediately frustrating to the theological desire to know God. The “God” of science is simply the power of what is to become and be what it is. It is the actual universe plus whatever science believes is necessary to supplement that actuality - be it a “scalar field” of potentiality, a “quantum chaos,” etc., in any case a “force” or set of forces and a set of rules describing the behavior of the forces. Theogony or the creation of a god is an art of poetry or architecture or sculpture or painting or music or dance. God is a name of our unconsciousness. Language is not God, but the power of language and art is the power to create the possible.
