ABSTRACT

Using our conceptual framework that we identified in the introduction, in this concluding part of the book we identify evidence-based ideas about how to extend and increase equitable or fair access to, and participation within, higher education through an array of strategies around learning and teaching. In Chapter 6 we develop the theoretical framings on social and political approaches that our research teams used and referred to in Part 2 to draw together the themes and threads that we have considered there. We discuss these various perspectives on our collective findings and then the implications for particular approaches for policies, practices and pedagogies for individuals and institutions.
