ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the multimodal realizations of mind style both in novels and their fi lmic adaptations. Mind style is generally understood as the way in which the psychological and cognitive makeup of written fi ctional narrative entities is projected. Here I aim to demonstrate that looking at mind style indicators in a multimodal environment, as opposed to the more traditional monomodal focus on novelistic forms, can result in further insights into the nature of the concept itself.
