ABSTRACT

When we return to study, there are some basic skills that can greatly assist us to complete a course successfully. Teachers often assume that students have these skills and understandably do not devote precious course time to discussing them. However, it is precisely a lack of understanding of these skills that can influence a student’s ability to complete a course successfully. In this chapter we will discuss: where to study, when to study, keeping motivated, making and experimenting with study plans, taking notes and reflecting and improving.
