ABSTRACT

Various factor models have evolved as frameworks to understand personality. Several psychological approaches have guided communication interests in examining personality traits as dispositions that can affect communication behavior. Psychologists have proposed three-factor (see H. J. Eysenck & Eysenck, 1985; S. B. Eysenck, Eysenck, & Barrett, 1985) and five-factor (see Costa & McCrae, 1992; Goldberg, 1992) models.
