ABSTRACT

Two distinguishing features of Mohamed Berrada’s 1996 novel The Game of Forgetting (Lu’bat al-Nisyān) are its multiple narrations and its use of different registers of Arabic, most notably the combination of Modern Standard Arabic and the Moroccan vernacular.
