ABSTRACT
Canada is composed of 10 provinces that share common features but also differ in a number of important matters. The Province of Quebec is the second largest in terms of population and size of the economy. Among its distinctive features, the imprint of the French culture certainly ranks highest. Indeed, more than 80 percent of the population speaks French, and Montreal is the world’s second largest French-speaking city.
