ABSTRACT
Giuseppe Barbiero is a lecturer of ecology and biogeosciences in the Faculty of Education at Aosta Valley University. He is chief of The Project IDEE (Intelligences for Deep Ecology Education) at Aosta Valley University. His main research interest is the biophilia hypothesis, particularly the role of wilderness fascination in the restoration of mental fatigue. Other research interests are the Gaia hypothesis, focused on the living state of matter and symbiotic systems; and environmental risk assessment of transgene introgression by genetically modifi ed crops.
