ABSTRACT

The objective of this book has been to offer perspectives from authors experienced in dealing with the complex challenges of planning and carrying out research in difficult situations, especially those which are not necessarily apparent to someone who has not been in the field. This conclusion provides a practical way of applying these perspectives. All readers, but especially new researchers, may find this chapter helpful in the planning and preparation stages of their research. We recommend of course that readers also refer to the relevant chapter for more in-depth treatment of particular areas of interest.
