ABSTRACT
This chapter investigates the impact of the new challenges in the international scenario of competition on the ceramic tile industry in Brazil and, specifically, on the dynamics of its two main local production systems, located in the regions of Criciúma, in the state of Santa Catarina, and the Santa Gertrudes region in the state of São Paulo.
