The current educational policy environment focuses on scientifi c evidence as the basis for decisions in our schools and other education institutions. While this emphasis on research ensures stronger warrants for important education policy decisions, the problem lies not only in determining what constitutes scientifi c evidence but in actually sifting through the large amount of research that exists. How do we develop an understanding of a research base that includes hundreds of diverse studies?
