ABSTRACT

The chapters in this book range widely over a complex landscape of ideas which span not only educational concepts but also disciplinary perspectives. The main purpose of this chapter is to bring the reader back to pedagogy. We reconsider the pedagogical implications of learning in diverse contexts. We also reflect on the insights offered by some of the other chapters in this book, and the seminar series from which it was drawn, in helping us rethink pedagogical practice. We group our reflections into a number of broad themes that seem to us to impact directly on pedagogy.
