ABSTRACT
This chapter considers relational ethics in the context of qualitative research. The researcher-contributor alliance and the ethical challenges, tensions and conflicts that can arise when conducting in-depth qualitative research interviews are explored. The chapter discusses researcher-practitioner role conflict and offers a model for thinking about and supporting the research interview context.
