Introduction

The term “governance” has migrated to the center of an overlapping set of concepts deployed across a broad range of settings, from academic theorists, to advocates for change, to practitioners. In the process, phrases such as “good governance” have become commonplace: paradoxically, both overused and underanalyzed.
