ABSTRACT
There is a well-known story about a journalist who goes to interview a former footballer of famously dissolute habits. The footballer is found occupying the most expensive suite in a five-star hotel, where he is lying in bed surrounded by empty champagne bottles and being comforted by two former winners of the Miss World competition. So, asks the journalist, where did it all go wrong?
