ABSTRACT

I met my future wife, Marla, at a religious convention that I was hosting in 1994. Religion like gender, however, is often a misnomer, and this conference was such a venue. There at a small and very conservative hotel in Amarillo, Texas over 200 pagans and witches gathered to celebrate the fall. We had Wiccans, Norse, Dianics, Gardnerians, Georgians, and a scattering of the more eclectic paths, all in one hotel for one weekend.
