ABSTRACT

PEGGY PAPP is known primarily for her ground-breaking work that explores gender differences in the practice of family therapy. In her classic books, The Process of Change and Family Therapy: Full Length Case Studies, she was among the first to trace family belief systems that influence the core values of individual members. She later refined her theories in collaboration with others involved in The Women's Project to publish The Invisible Web: Gender Patterns in Family Relationships. Most recently, she edited a new book for marital therapists: Couples on the Fault Line: New Directions for Therapists.
