Globalization’s impact on threat perceptions and defence postures in Northeast Asia

New threats – such as the fight against terrorism and nuclear threats, long-time concerns which globalization has remodelled – have added branches to the defence policies of Japan and South Korea. The impact of globalization on defence policies of East Asian states is therefore a direct one as far as new threats are concerned.
