ABSTRACT
Neoliberal policies both in the United Kingdom and globally (see Harvey, 2005; Hill, 2005, 2006a, 2009a, b; Hill and Rosskam, 2009; Klein, 2008) have resulted in (a) a loss of equity as well as economic and social justice; (b) a loss of democracy and democratic accountability, and (c) a loss of critical thought. Each of these effects is discussed here.
