ABSTRACT

Portuguese is the last language into which the Grundrisse has been translated so far. Based on volume II/1.1 and II/1.2 of MEGA2 in Mário Duayer’s translation, it was entitled Grundrisse. Elementos fundamentais para a crítica da economia política. 1857-1858 [Grundrisse. Outlines of the Critique of Political Economy. 1857-1858] and scheduled by the Brazilian publisher Contraponto for 2008. Prior to this edition the only sections of the Grundrisse translated into Portuguese were the ‘Introduction’ and ‘Forms which Precede Capitalist Production’.
