ABSTRACT

This chapter attempts to put all of that material together by examining two cases that span a significant developmental spectrum, one of which involves a fairly high-functioning male, the other of which involves a female client with a borderline personality organization. It presents the reader with each client’s actual completed responses to the Integral Intake. The chapter begins with a brief introduction to issues pertaining to treatment planning. In essence, integral treatment planning involves using the “all quadrants, all levels” (AQAL) framework to complement, rather than fundamentally change, plan, and carry out treatment. The chapter discusses the initial session and the client’s presenting problem(s), initial AQAL assessment, the client’s integral psychograph and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual diagnosis, a case narrative that leads to the initial/tentative treatment plan for that client, interventions and how actual sessions progressed, and a conclusion.
