ABSTRACT

The History of Economic Thought (HET) studies the making of economic ideas and their evolution through time, or, borrowing the definition from themost famous book inHETof the twentieth century, written by Joseph Schumpeter and published in 1954: HET is ‘ the history of the intellectual efforts that men have made in order to understand economic phenomena’ (Schumpeter 1994 [1954]: 3; the first emphasis is ours1).
