ABSTRACT

This chapter is a theoretical exploration of the writings on imagination by Jung and Vygotsky and the beginnings of a synthesis of their views relevant to the educational arena. We believe the two are compatible along their holistic serving epistemological lines and the developments of each find their complement in the other. The intention in bringing them together is that the spiritual depth of Jung will be combined with the spiritual height of Vygotsky.
