ABSTRACT

Rapid Prototyping (RP) technology directly produces small volume samples of experimentation without die, the methods of RP technology has unique advantages: short production cycles, low cost and high precision. In this paper, emitter samples of five specifications for three new-types used in experiments are produced using RP and Rapid Tooling (RT) technology. It can be observed by comparing the discharge-pressure experimental results of experimental samples and plastic products, that the combined process methods of RP/RT has a certain improvement in precision of stereotypes than using a single RP process, significantly reducing sample manufacturing cost, though stereotype errors are still at about 15%.
