ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: As social infrastructures including bridges require relatively high initial costs and long service lives, the systematic feasibility study is highly recommended at the early phase of projects. This study performs a life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) focused on the bridge superstructures. A cost breakdown structure was developed and also the data required for analysis such as analysis periods and unit costs, are collected. Recently, an on-going railroad bridge project was applied for LCCA as a case study.
