ABSTRACT
A Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach can be extremely useful to those working in the complex and difficult area of sexual health, and this field illuminates the wider practical, ethical and political advantages and challenges of PAR (see Gordon and Cornwall 2005). Therefore, before discussing specific techniques, processes and challenges, we review the specific utility of PAR.
