Inclusive methodologies: Including disabled people in Participatory Action Research in Scotland and Canada

This chapter discusses Participatory Action Research (PAR) undertaken while we were post-graduate students in the Department of Human Geography at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. We discuss the influence of our activism in the disabled people’s movement in relation to our politicised view of disability as a socially constructed form of oppression. We also reflect on the way that this concept of disability played out in the implementation of inclusive research methodologies.
