ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the learning component of Participatory Action Research (PAR), and reflects on research undertaken as part of a Sure Start evaluation in the United Kingdom (UK). A fundamental element of the PAR process is that learning takes place for all participants. Learning has traditionally been assumed as an outcome, but in reality is seldom reflected upon by participants.
