ABSTRACT

REVIEWED BY JASMINE Z. LESTER Until We Meet Again (2001) focuses on a teenage girl, Darcy, and her ability to deal with major changes in her life. Not only must she endure changes in her family life that involve her father and her grandmother, but she also has to resolve issues in her love life. She loses one of the most important people in her life, and through the losses and the changes that she undergoes, Darcy is able to mature and learn valuable life lessons: she is able to look at death and life in a more positive light, appreciating that death does not have to be an end to fond memories. She also realizes that losses in life can feel like an emotional and spiritual death. Her losses make her stronger.
