ABSTRACT

In closing this volume we aim to draw together the analytical concepts of identity, agency and power, whilst also considering the major theme of Majority-Minority world binaries. In addition, we fi nish by suggesting where global perspectives on young rural lives might lead in future. Thus we provide a selection of recommendations for future research that may extend this fi eld and make connections with wider contemporary debates in geography, sociology, rural, youth, and childhood studies and related disciplines. We fi rmly contend that continued dialogue between disciplines and between different global contexts is necessary to further enhance research agendas on young rural lives.
