ABSTRACT
One of the goals of this volume is the encouragement of research on culture and parenting. This chapter asks: If you were considering research in this area, what might guide your choice of topic and method? The several chapters provide examples of a variety of choices of topics and methods. I mention some further examples. My main purpose, however, is to step back a little, highlighting questions that many of us have come to see as needed only after becoming immersed in various studies.
