ABSTRACT

Working in universities around the world for short and extended periods, we have developed a view of what differentiates a university or college that is genuinely international from one which merely pays lip service to the approach. To provide a conclusion for the rest of this book, we have identified twenty key factors in internationalising Higher Education which, we argue, characterise institutions that welcome and celebrate international diversity, derived from collective experiences of our authors and others in organisations that take the issues seriously.
