ABSTRACT
In 1992 the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) began the Community Advocacy Project in an effort to help communities respond to an increase in controversies surrounding sexuality education. The goals of the project were twofold; first, to provide technical assistance to these communities and second, to track controversies around the country in order to gain perspective on trends.
