ABSTRACT

The issues underlying these questions revolve around copyright and contracts. Copyright is controlled by federal statute, grounded in Article I of the United States Constitution as well as in international treaties, GATT and WIPO being among the foremost. Contracts may run between a choreographer and a composer, a videographer and a dance company, a choreographer and a dance company, a union and a dance company, or other combinations.
